FalsMount is a standing-seam mount for Starlink: Orima CHA077 clamps (Finland) grip the fold without drilling the sheet. Many buyers want to know how wind and snow enter the design — especially for Germany.
Short version: against wind, FalsMount is proven per DIN EN 1991-1-4 with the German National Annex for wind zones 1–2, terrain category II, up to 10 m height. For snow we do not publish a figure yet. Neither is a certified survival wind speed or a “holds X kN of snow” rating.
What is a wind zone? Germany uses four wind zones (1–4) on the map in the National Annex to DIN EN 1991-1-4. Zone 1 is typically milder; Zone 4 (including many coastal sites) sees higher wind actions.
Don’t know your zone? The proof covers zones 1–2. To look yours up: the German wind-zone map (DIN EN 1991-1-4/NA) or your engineer / installer.
Outside the proof Higher wind zones (coast, North Sea islands) and buildings over 10 m are not covered by this proof. If that is your roof, or you are unsure, send location and a photo to hello@falsmount.com.
What we say — and don’t
We say: proven per DIN EN 1991-1-4 with the German NA for wind zones 1–2, terrain category II, up to 10 m; clamps Orima CHA077.
We do not say: “certified for X m/s”, “survives storm Y”, or a released clamp capacity in kN without a manufacturer datasheet.
Snow is also regional in Germany (snow-load zones / Eurocode snow). On the roof, snow acts through the dish and mount path into the clamp and seam.
Today: detailed snow design figures for FalsMount are not yet published on this page. When Engineering clears them, we will add them here — clearly as design basis, not as an “allowed snow load.”
Until then: steep roof, heavy snow region, or unsure — send location and a photo. We would rather ask than invent numbers.
Do I need my wind zone to buy? It helps: the wind proof covers zones 1–2. Unsure? Send your location.
Snow-load zone? Same idea — optional depth, not a purchase gate.
Kalzip / BEMO? See the fit table on the product page — not this page.
